LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS USATT SINGLES LEAGUE-2017 SEASON

LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE BEGINS ON SUNDAY--APRIL 23, 2017
The much anticipated Lakeland Table Tennis League will begin fresh on Sunday, April 23, 2017 and will continue on each following Sunday throughout the 2017 calendar year.  League play begins at 11:30 a.m. each Sunday and continues until 4:00 p.m.

WHAT IS USATT SINGLES LEAGUE?
The USATT (United States Association of Table Tennis) began the Singles League Program a few years ago.  It has evolved into a FREE membership arrangement with official USATT League Ratings kept and posted on the official USATT website.  The Single League focuses on players competing in round robin competitions with scores kept and the results submitted electronically to the USATT League database.  At Lakeland Table Tennis, players are encouraged to play as many matches as possible on Sunday afternoon. The scores of the matches are recorded on a scoresheet and submitted to the club official in charge for that session.  The results are then submitted directly to the USATT, with updated USATT League Ratings available immediately online.

HOW DO YOU JOIN?
We have made it very simple! All you have to do is just show up and play.  You and your opponent simply play a match and then enter the score on the scoresheet. A scoresheet entry is used for each match you play. Players simply enter the scores of the games and circle the name of the winner of the match (best 3 out of 5 games).

IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?
No, there are no membership fees. You do not have to be a member of the USATT. Anyone can play! The only cost is the $2.50 per day that is charged by the Simpson Park Community Center. You simply pay at the front desk as you enter the facility.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE USATT LEAGUE?
You can visit the USATT website and click on "USATT League". Then select "Singles League"
Click on the following link:

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT MY USATT LEAGUE RATING?
We submit all your recorded matches a few minutes after each Sunday League session. So, all you have to do is to go to the USATT League Website and see your new USATT League Rating.
Click on the following link:
http://www.usatt.org/league/singles/ratings_league.html

DO YOU HAVE TO COME EVERY SUNDAY?
No, but we would love for you to!  You can come as much or as little as you like. You will always remain on the active list for the entire season. However, we think you will become addicted to the league concept as the year goes along and we look forward to your active participation.

ARE THERE AWARDS, PRIZES OR RECOGNITIONS FOR THE PLAYERS?
Yes, we recognize players on our website.  We post photos of our winners. We recognize those players who play the most matches, have the highest win-loss percentage, make the greatest percentage increase in USATT League Rating and several other areas of interest. Also, be on the lookout for special events on several Sunday playing sessions during the season. You never know what special activities may appear!

DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE LEAGUE TO PLAY ON SUNDAY?
No, if you just want to play and not have your results submitted, or if you just want to practice and drill with another player, that is certainly permitted. We would like to have as many as possible to compete in the league, but it is not required.

Should Rubber Colors, other than Black and Red, be legalized for sanction tournament play?

Yes, as long as different color on each side.

No, leave it at Red and Black only.

I am undecided at this time.
